Rodney was born to the parents of James and Gladys Viola Gorden Patrick in Denver, Colorado on 19 Oct 1935, his father James had been married before and had a son Mike that was raised with him and his other brother Conrad, both deceased.
He served a stint in the Marines and while in California he met his wife. They lived in California but made their permanent home in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. They had two sons and a daughter. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He passed away at a Denver, Hospital 19 Jan 2008 and is buried in the Golden Cemetery in Golden, Colorado
