Survivors include four sons, John A. George, Jr. (Debbie) of Richmond Hill, GA, Donald C. George (Beth Fulcher) of Savannah, GA, Joseph D. George (Cindy) of Richmond Hill, GA, and Scott A. George (Connie) of Garden City, GA; two sisters, Lucille Gilbert of Dawson, GA and Myra Sawyer of Morgan, GA; thirteen grandchildren, Chris George, Alex George, Neil George, Dianna George, Jody George, Scott George, Craig George, Bryan George, Jennifer George, Suzanne Bridges, Emily George, Julie McCarthy, and Brian Cartee; nine great-grandchildren and a host of extended family, nieces, nephews, and dear friends, all of whom will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, three brothers, Ralph Ferguson, Carroll Ferguson, and Reid Ferguson, and one sister, Theresa Dixon.
She was very successful in rearing her family of four sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Being the loving and caring person she was she served in numerous capacities at Riverside Baptist Church, especially with the two years olds in the nursery department. Her greatest attribute was the love and devotion she bestowed upon her family, always keeping their interest in mind before herself.
Services were entrusted to Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors of Savannah, Georgia.
