Edna M. Schuler, 100, of Lanagan, MO died Monday, December 28, 2009 in Rogers. She was born October 12, 1909 in Licking, MO, the daughter of John Levi & Rosa (Wilshire) Fowler. She was the former owner of the Southside Restuarant and a mother to many. She was a member of First Christian Church, Daughters of the Union Veterans of the Civil War and of the Sr. Citizen Center in Lanagan, MO. Edna loved to square dance, cook and bake pies and was a great caretaker to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Bill Meisner and her husband, Walter Lewis Schuler; her daughter Donna Marie Schuler and her son Bill Meisner.
She is survived by her children Shirley Kennedy (Gene) of Overland Park, KS, Don Meisner of Grandview, MO, Rose Steele (Jerry) of Erie, CO, David Schuler (Lesa) of Centerton, AR, Gary Schuler (Kathleen) of Surprise, AZ, Paul Schuler of Rocky Comfort, MO, and Chuck Schuler (Barbara) of Anderson, MO; 25 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Benton County Funeral Home with Minister David Munoz officiating. Her ashes were buried in her sister Anne's grave at Peace Valley Cemetery because she didn't want Anne to be out there by herself. Her son is buried there also.
