Ronald was the son of Phyllis (Walch) Stork and Fred W. Stork, Jr. Ron was born in Saginaw, MI and was the second born of six children. Ron grew up on the Stork Ranch in Zilwaukee Township, Saginaw, MI. Ron attended Zilwaukee Elementary Schools and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, MI in 1957. Ron loved growing up on a farm, being a farm boy, and being involved in all the many different jobs on the farm such as growing and harvesting crops, taking care of a garden, feeding cattle, bird hunting, fishing in the marshes on the ranch, and helping care for and maintain farm equipment. Ron attended Michigan State University for two years and successfully completed an agricultural program for farmers. Ron married Beverly Strudgeon Stork in 1962. Ron and Beverly raised three children on the Stork Ranch in Saginaw, MI. Ron farmed the Stork Ranch for many years and was a well known and well liked farmer in the area. Ron was a kind, gentle, hard working person who was dearly loved by his family and friends.
