My grandfather was called Dick by all who knew and loved him. His parents were Alvin Floyd Sausser b.1879, his mother Rose E. Chapman, 1884-1964. He married Louise Edna Valliere and had Floyd Sosseur, who died very young, Verdaine Gwendolyn (Sosseur) Farmilant 1929-2007, Patricia Florence (Sosseur) Morning 1931, and Duane Richard, 1932-1980. He then married Loretta C. and had two girls, Laurence 1960, and Richelle 1963.

A Poem written by Richard Sosseur:

Let me live O mighty master such a life as men should know,
tasting triumph and disaster, joy and not too much of woe.

Living each day by the minute, won sometime but did no crowing, lost sometime but did not wail, took his beatings and kept going - never let his courage fail.

So if you love someone sincerely do not leave kind words unsaid, if you like him or you love him or if you care alot tell him now. Do not wait till life is over and he lies beneath the clover for he cannot read his tombstone when he's dead.
