FAYE HEAD, a resident of Green Forest, was born Jan. 23, 1935, in Green Forest, a daughter of Waldo and Barcie Jane (Youngblood) Boss. She died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005, in her home at the age of 70.
Faye was a homemaker. She attended the Blue Eye First Baptist Church. During her later years, Faye worked at the Senior Center in Berryville as a cook.
She is survived by two sons, David Head of Green Forest, and Danny Head of Berryville; three daughters, Joanna Freeman of Gardner, Kan., Elaine Wright of Berryville, and Teresa Riddels of Green Forest; her brother, Ora Lee Boss of Austin, Texas; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many other relatives and a host of friends.
On Jan. 23, 1953, she was united in marriage with Odell V. Head, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Carl Boss.
Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, at the Glenwood Cemetery in Green Forest with Rev. Freddy Blevins officating. Interment followed the service in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
