Funeral Monday for Walter H. Heitkam
Last rites for Walter H. Heitkam, 66, H. Lieber Company department manager more than fifty years, who died Thursday night in his home, 305 Kenmore road, will be held at 1:30pm Monday in the Hisey and Titus funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.
Mr. Heitkam, regarded an authority on the work of American artists, was known by artists and dealers throughout the nation. He was particularly interested in the work of Indiana artists and had been connected with the Lieber Company since he was fourteen years old. He was a life resident of Indianapolis.
Mr. Heitkam was a member of the Fourth Church of Christ, Scientist, the Indianapolis Maennerchor, the Athaneum, Scottish Rite, Ancient Landmarks Masonic Lodge, Raper COmmandery, No. 1, Knights Templar and Herron Art Institute. He was also a lay member of the Indiana Artists' Club.
