D. Nelson Aller age 91 of Findlay and originally from McComb died Wednesday December 23, 2009, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. He was born February 5, 1918 in Cygnet, OH to Claron Porterfield and Bertha Catherine (Brickman) Aller. He married Dorothy E. McDougle on August 19, 1936 in Angola, IN and she died December 31, 1990. He then married JoAnn Mae Campbell Karcher May 31, 1997 and she survives. Also surviving are 5 sons Ralph (Nadine) Aller, McComb; David (Marty) Aller, McComb; Ed Aller, McComb; William (Jean) Aller , Findlay; Fred (Jan) Aller, Franklin, OH; a daughter Loretta Higgins, Arlington; a step son John Karcher, Denver, CO; and a step daughter Julie (Scott) Frankiln, Findlay. Mr. Aller has 17 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 step great grandchild. Also surviving is a daughter in law Nedra Aller, McComb; a sister Marjorie Miller, Mt. Blanchard; and a sister in law Sharon Aller, Perrysburg. He was preceded in death by a son Gerald, an infant daughter, 2 brothers Gene and Harold, and a grandson Aaron Aller
Mr. Aller was a 1936 graduate of Liberty Township High School in Rudolph, OH. He was the owner of the Nelson Aller Paving and Excavating Compamy from 1956-1979. He was a former employee of McComb Farmers Elavator, Buckeye Ditcher, RCA in Findlay, and the Findlay Country Club. He was currently working with his son Ed at Primrose flowers in McComb. He was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church in McComb. He was a member of the McComb Lions Club, and was the 2008 McComb Lions Club Citizen of the Year. He also volunteered at Chopin Hall in Findlay.

Visitation will be held on Sunday December 27, 2009 2-8 p.m. at the HARTLEY FUNERAL HOME in McComb. The funeral service will be at the funeral home on Monday December 28, 2009 11:00 a.m. with Revs. Linda Zaye and Christian Dittmar officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery east of McComb.
