GREENSBORO, NC — On Thursday, November 19, 2009, Henry E. Peraldo passed away peacefully at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
A memorial service was held at 3 pm on Sunday, November 22, at Guilford Park Presbyterian Church, with Dr. William Waterstradt and Rev. Margie Boyd officiating.
Henry was born on August 27, 1923, in Welch, West Virginia.
He served his country proudly for 4 years in the United States Army in England. After returning as a World War II veteran, Henry completed his education at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
Henry and his family moved to Greensboro in 1966. He has been a member of Guilford Park Presbyterian Church since that time and was involved in all activities of the church including serving as a deacon.
Henry retired from Sears Roebuck after 25 years as District Sales Manager. After retiring he opened Homestead Fence Company which he operated until 2000.
He was an active member of Cardinal Country Club where his buddies referred to him as "The Mayor."
Henry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty; his son Jeffrey King Peraldo (Lyn Broom Peraldo); grandson, Chandler Knox Peraldo and granddaughter, Leah Shea Peraldo, all of Greensboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George P. Peraldo and Aida Fasciolo Peraldo, and his brother George Nelson Peraldo.
