"…was born on Jan 5th, 1867, one half mile East of Hartford, Iowa, in Warren County. He came to Kansas with his parents the month of Aug. 1871. And grew to manhood on the farm three and one half miles North East of Downs. He was converted when a young man in a meeting at South Juniper, Oregon, and united with the Methodist Church, in Downs, Kans. He was married to Carrie A. Stone on March 22nd. 1894. In the fall of 1894, they moved to Mo. where they lived for eleven [sic] years. Their three oldest children were born in Mo. In 1903 they moved [to] the 12 Mile farm in Kans. where Carrie Stone grew to womanhood. Where their youngest daughter was born. Meadow View Farm that we loved so much was our home for many years." by E. T. Hull
