Anthony "Tony" Ellenbecker was born on October 2, 1928, in Wertzberg, WI. Tony passed away Monday, December 14, 2009, after a long battle with asbestos related lung disease. Tony joined the Navy at age 17 and remained for 22 years, retiring in San Diego as an E-9 Chief. Survived by wife Sally, step-daughter Lauri and three grandchildren, James, Michael and Anna; one sister, Edna Powers and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation 4 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 17th, at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 4124 Mt. Abraham Ave., San Diego, CA 92111. Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 18th, with Military Honors and Burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
