She was born on April 25, 1916, to Gideon and Estella (Hyde) Mallo, in LeRoy. At an early age, her family moved to Sterling, where she graduated from Logan County High School in 1934. She attended Marinello Beauty School in Denver for one year. Mrs. Krueger returned to Sterling and began working at the McCahan Hat and Beauty Shop. She later purchased the business from Mrs. W. H. McCahan.
She continued in the business until her marriage to Orville E. Krueger in Sterling on Jan. 14, 1967. Mr. Krueger passed away Feb. 28. 1968.
Mrs. Krueger was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Business and Professional Women's Club, the Order of the Eastern Star and White Shrine of Jerusalem. She volunteered with the Sterling Regional MedCenter Auxiliary and Logan County Cooperating Ministry.
She is survived by her brother, Harold Mallo, formerly of Sterling; step-son, Terry Krueger of Boulder; nephews, Gary Mallo, Richard Mallo and Robert Hyde and wife Dorothy; cousins, William "Bill" Busig and Naomi Busig; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Hyde; nephew, Howard Hyde; and niece, Donna Hyde Jochem.
