Surrounded by her family, Donna Mae Kooker, 76, of Pleasant Hill, passed away on December 13, 2009, at The Legacy Point nursing home in Waukee.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 17, 2009 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the funeral home.

Donna was born September 3, 1933 to Harry and Polly (Berry) Williams. She loved spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren. Donna, or Mammy as she was known later in life, enjoyed watching the races at the fairgrounds, attending baseball games, following soap operas, and country music.

She is survived by her brother, George T. (Teri) Williams; sisters, Judy (Terry) Smith and Glennice (Asa) Hutton; her children, Peggy (Dave) Farren, Robert Bieghler Jr, and Steve (Theresa) Bieghler Sr; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Polly (Berry) Williams; her husband, Richard "Butch" Kooker; brother, Thomas; and sister, JoAnne.

Memorial contributions can be directed to the American Cancer Society.
