Mrs. Connie Kay Jones, 57, of Frederick, died Thursday, November 2, 2006, at her home.
Born September 27, 1949, in Osaka, Japan, she was the daughter of the late Donald W. and Carrie Huff Rice.
Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Thomas Johnson High School class of 1967. She was a member of the Lewistown Social Club and a member of the ladies auxiliary Buck and Bass Club. She attended the New Life Foursquare Church. Connie loved playing bingo, reading, traveling, especially to Tennessee or New York, and spending time with friends and family. She had worked as an accounts payable clerk at Builders First Source.
She is survived by her children, Karen Gray and husband Robert of Libertytown, Kathy Van Zile and husband Melvin of Cortland, N.Y., Margaret Campbell and husband Ted of Ovid, N.Y. and Marsha Eastman and husband Jack of Newfield, N.Y.; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her close friend, Vicki Bailey of Thurmont; sisters and brothers, Judy Johns of Frederick, Susan O'Toole and husband Anthony of Thurmont, Russell Rice and wife Tina of Frederick, Donna Bollinger and husband Bill of Thurmont and Ellie Gilbert and husband Tom of Walkersville; special niece, Tammy O'Toole of Thurmont; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Monday, November 6, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held Tuesday, November 7, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Dave Hendershot officiating.
Interment Union Chapel, Daysville.
