LOCAL NEWS – Death of Burdette J. Salisbury

The death of Burdette J. Salisbury occurred Tuesday morning at his late home in Little York. He was 77 years old, a man of much intelligence, honorable, kindly and possessed of many characteristics which won him many friends, especially among the children whom he loved. The funeral will be held from the home in Little York at 1 o’clock this afternoon and burial will be made in Glenwood cemetery in this village.

Mr. Salisbury’s oldest brother, Dr. James H. Salisbury, who was stricken with apoplexy last week, died at his country home at Dobb’s Ferry, last week Wednesday, aged nearly 82 years. He is now survived by one brother, Wallace W. Salisbury of Little York, and by one sister, Mrs. Cyrus Kellogg, who is living in New York.

The Salisbury family has been intimately connected with the history of Cortland county, the father of B. J. Salisbury having been one of the pioneer settlers of the town of Scott.

Mr. Salisbury is survived by his wife and two sons, Orlando of New York, and Frank N. of Little York.

The death of Burdette J. Salisbury occurred Tuesday morning at his late home in Little York.
