James E. Ragsdale
CALDWELL (Special)—Services for James Edward Ragsdale, 51, of 1109 Jefferson street in Boise, who died Friday in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico, will be conducted at Peckham-Dakan chapel Wednesday at 10:30 a. m. The Rev. Hartzell Cobbs of Boise will officiate and the Caldwell Eagles lodge will conduct services at Canyon Hill.
Mr. Ragsdale was born May 5, 1900, in Washington, Ind., and moved as a child to Grandview, Wash. He was married May 5, 1921, at Pasco, Wash., to Cora Province and the couple moved to Caldwell in 1928. They had made their home in Boise since 1950. He was an electrical superintendent for the Morrison-Knudsen Construction company.
He attended the Christian church and was a member of the Caldwell Eagles lodge.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Ragsdale are two daughters, Mrs. Joy Newbold of Garden Grove, Calif., and Miss Marie Ragsdale of Boise; his mother, Mrs. Sarah Ragsdale of Grandview, Wash.; five brothers, Roy Ragsdale of Wapato, Wash., Otto, Clarence and Albert Ragsdale, Walter Ragsdale of Everett, Wash.; six sisters, Mrs. Goldie Allington and Mrs. Gertrude Henry, both of Richland, Wash., Mrs. Gladys Fredricks of Van Nuys, Calif., Mrs. Audrey Lang of Grandview, Mrs. Nellie Carver of Yakima, Wash., and Mrs. Pearl Pearson of Prosser, Wash., and two grandchildren.
