Jack attended and graduated from Lebanon High School, in 1956. He made friends easily and appreciated each friendship he made over the years.
After graduation, he enlisted in the National Guard on June 12, 1956, and was honorably discharged on June 11, 1962. Jack was dedicated to his country and proud of his service time. He remained loyal to his fellow soldiers and appreciated the time they served.
Jack was an avid sportsman and appreciated the outdoors. He was happiest on the bank of the river fishing or in the woods hunting. However, nothing compared to the time spent and memories made with his family.
Jack is survived by one son, Randy Davis of Eldridge, MO; two brothers, Winston Davis and his wife Susan of Allen's Park, CO and Wendell Davis and his wife Diane of Springfield, MO; one sister, Helen Gaylene Peters of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Laura Davis of West Plains, MO and Thomas Davis of Cape Girardeau, MO; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother-in-law, Gerald Peters.
Jack was a loving father, cherished brother, fun-loving grandfather, wonderful uncle, and treasured friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will treasure every moment they shared. He will be greatly missed.
