Mrs. Essie D. Duncan, 85, entered into rest Sunday, Jan. 25, 1998, at Candler Hospital, Savannah, Georgia. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Clark officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Abbey West Memorial Park. Mrs. Duncan, a native of Augusta, was a homemaker and secretary. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple. Survivors include a son, Kenneth J. Duncan, Chaska, Minn.; a daughter, Joyce Oglesby, Savannah; three sisters, Mary M. Heath, North Augusta, Pauline Wilson, Augusta, and Irene Allen, Belvedere; and nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
