MANSFIELD Henry James Allen, 69, formerly of Bowman Street died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2002, at Crystal Care Center. Henry was born to Annabell Alexander and Henry Allen in Pace, Mississippi From his mother, he had five siblings, Geraldine Dunlap of Chicago, Betty Carter of Chicago (deceased 2000), James Lee Johnson of New Orleans (deceased 1998), Cecil Vernon Alexander of New Orleans and Shelly Lee Thomas, of New Orleans. Jimmy had a sister, Jessie Mae Lee, born by their father of Orrville, Ohio. Stepfather, James Thomas of New Orleans, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends on both sides; and two brothers-in-law, Lewis Carter and Art Dunlap, also survive. Henry James Allen "Jimmy" served in the Army with the 1st Calvary until retirement in the seventies. He did a tour in the Korean Conflict and was M.I A for at least a year and did two tours in the Vietnam War. Friends may gather at Mansfield Cemetery Friday at 10 a.m. where graveside services will be conducted by Pastor Brian Phillips. Military services will be provided by the Joint Veterans Burial Detail. The family and friends are devastated of their loss and truly miss Jim Bo. God have you now - with the family that left before you. Great Reunion! May peace be still our loving brother, nearer my God to thee.
