MANSFIELD - Freddie L. Allen, 59, of 426 Woodland Ave. died Wednesday evening, Feb. 25, 1998, at his home after a long illness. Mr. Allen was born October 20, 1938, in Charleston, Missouri, to the late Amos & Lorna Wilkins Allen and had resided in Mansfield the past 31 years. He was an employee of Luntz Inc. until his illness. Mr. Allen was a member of the Church of Christ Eastside and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Emma; a daughter, Sandra Allen; 3 sons, Freddie R. & Richard Allen all of Mansfield and Terry Allen of Cleveland; 1 brother and sister-in-law, Roy & Dorothy Allen of Kansas City, Missouri; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters. Friends may call Tuesday after 2 at the Williams Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ Eastside by his pastor Brother James Bond. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
