Frances Patterson Barnett peacefully went to be in the arms of The Lord on November 28, 2009. She was born on June 3, 1928 in Haynesville, LA to Sallie Burns and Charles Patterson and is preceded in death by her husband, Malvin Barnett, her siblings, Alvin "Bubba" Patterson and Doris Worsham, and son-in-law, Alvis Dyer.
Frances will always be remembered as a devout Christian with the deepest loyalty to her family and friends. Her generous spirit thrived by sharing religion, sewing, cooking, strength, laughter and tenderness to her family. Frances was one of God's dearest gifts and taught us all that in the end what really matters is the love you give and the love you are blessed to receive.
She is survived by her daughters: Frances Charlene Dyer of Frisco, TX and Sally Ann Stephenson and husband, Lane of Frierson, LA; 2 grandchildren, Rane Stephenson Lallier and husband, Josh of Richardson, TX, and William Lane Stephenson IV of Shreveport, LA; and 2 great-grandchildren, Joshua Landry Lallier and Katherine Loring Lallier. Serving as pallbearers; Danny Ray Goad, Daniel Goad, Billy Joe Patterson, Michael Patterson, Jim Patterson, Allen Smith and David Daniel and honorary pallbearer, Bennie Daniel.
Services will be held at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Rose-Neath Southside, Shreveport, LA with Dr. Murry Hodge, the Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care and Minister to Mature and Median Adults for Summer Grove Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Rose-Neath Southside. The family would like to give our sincerest thank you to the ladies of S.A.F.E.
