James C Anderson was born November 23, 1903 in Denmark. He came to Spencer at the age of nine to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Anderson, who had come to America before him. As he grew up he engaged in farming and different types of labor. For a number of years he worked at oil stations.
In 1925 he married Carrie Larsen. Three children were born to this union, Shirley, James and one who died in infancy.
Anderson died suddenly Sunday, February 14 from a heart attack.
