Word was received Monday evening by F.W. Kinnison and Gertrude Skinner, that their sister Bernice (sic) (Mrs. Vernie) Adamson, 76, of Brighton, Colorado had passed away Monday, November 11 in the Mercy Hospital at Denver. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Berneice Mildred Adamson was born June 26, 1898 at Angus, Nebraska, one of twelve children of Henry and Hannah Kinnison. She passed away November 11, 1974 at Mercy Hospital, Denver, Colorado, at the age of 76 years, 4 months, and 15 days. She joined the Christian Church at Angus, Nebraska and later transferred her membership to the First Christian Church at Brighton, Colorado. Berneice was a very devoted and faithful Christian throughout her life.

She was married July 12, 1916 to Vernie Adamson at Nelson, Nebraska. Most of her married life was spent around Nelson and Nora, Nebraska. In 1949 they moved to Hudson, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty in 1967 and her husband in 1971. Since then she has made her home with her daughter, Ardis.

Survivors are her 3 daughters, Mrs. Woodrow Stiles (Ardis) of Thornton, Colorado, Mrs. Wilma Jean Chinn of Hudson, Colorado and Mrs. Richard Sandborn (Bonnie) of LaHabra, California; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mabel Skinner of Edgar and Mrs. Gertrude Skinner of Nelson; 3 brothers, Mr. Ray Kinnison of Denver, Colorado, Mr. Floyd Kinnison of Nelson and Mr. Clark Kinnison of Edgar and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 16, 1974 at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of Christ at Angus, Nebraska. Pastor Victor Schwarz officiated. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery. Klawitter Funeral Home, Nelson was in charge of the arrangements. The casketbearers were Garth Melvin, Max Melvin, Orin Spurling, Dennis Melvin, Merton McCartney and Archie Melvin.
