Donald E. Cochran Sr.
April 29, 1929 - June 12, 1995
Donald E COCHRAN Sr., 66, 114 West 13th St., died at 8:45 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Hospital. He had been in failing health for four years.
He was born in South Whitley to Andrew and Lavina Adele HENDERSON COCHRAN. On April 8, 1946 in Plymouth he married Helen HELFICK, who died Aug. 22, 1972. He lived most of his life in Fulton County after moving here from LaPorte County. He retired in 1985 as a welder from Safe Way Steel Products. He was a member of United Steel Workers of America and Father's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are two daughrters, Rachael COCHRAN, and Karen COCHRAN, both of Rochester; four sons, Donald [COCHRAN] Jr., Jack, Andrew and Anthony [COCHRAN], all of Rochester; four grandsons, Sean M. COCHRAN, Brandon M. COCHRAN, and Troy A. COCHRAN, all of Rochester, and Joshua Andrew COCHRAN, Arlington, Va.; one granddaughter, Triscia Helen Jo COCHRAN, Rochester; four sisters, Margaret McCUTCHEON, Peru, Mildred CONLEY, and Phyllis REED, both of Rochester, and Mary SHRIVER, Mentone, and nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were one daughter, Joy Ellen [COCHRAN; two sisters, Doris JAMES, and Rachel COCHRAN; four brothers, Frances, Charles, Ernest and Lawrence [COCHRAN].
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Keith SMITLEY officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and two hours before services Thursday.
