His wife, the former Annie Koontz Royer, died October 16, 1941. Surviving are three sons, H. Edgar, Jesse C, and Ralph K. Royer, all of Westminster; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and one brother, John. Royer, Westminster.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 pm at the J.E. Myers, Jr. funeral home. His pastor, the Reverend Harold Z. Bomberger, officiated. Burial was in Meadow Branch Cemetery. The pallbearers were J. Ralph Bonsack, William F. Cooper, K. Ray Hollinger, Clyde A. Spicer, Scott Sullivan, and Charles R. Welty.
