Turk was the oldest of 6 children of John Mason Myers and Emma Hagaman Myers. He married Ethel Young (1895-1954) of PA, the daughter of George Young and mother unknown at this time. They were married on Nov. 24, 1921 and had no children.

Turk died on Nov. 6, 1976 of a stroke.
