She was born in Warsaw to the late Maurice and Dartha (Burgess) Castator and lived most of her life in Marion.
She married William Britt. He preceded her in death.
Darlene retired from Marion General Hospital where she was known as the red head from the cafeteria. She was a lifetime member of the Eagles and was involved in the Country Crafters Craft Club. She was a former bowler.
Survivors include daughter, Corina (Rick) Butcher, Jonesboro; son, Raymond Hall III, Fairmount; grandchildren, Joshua, Rachel, Nikki, Roxy, Sissy; great-grandchildren, Myla, Jayden, Leevi; special companion, Lee; her bird, Andy; and her dog, Whitey.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Byron and James Castator and Bob Miller; son, Steven Hall; husband, William Britt; and stepmother, Mabel Castator.
Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion with the Rev. Lee Tankersly and the Rev. Nanci Rosinski officiating. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 in the funeral home. Eagle Services are at 6 p.m. Monday.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to Cancer Services of Grant County, Tower Suites, 305 S. Norton St., Marion, IN 46953.
