We didn't know that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone; For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

DeDe Sullivan said: "Now that I look back, I am just amazed. Mom went without new clothes or anything fun when we were younger, while Shelly and I had it all. She somehow managed to make it on a teacher's salary with 2 kids, pay the bills, feed us and keep the big house in Sugar Creek. She sat up many nights worrying about losing the house and really missed Grandma (Angela McNutt) after she passed. She would pick up the phone and cry and talk to her when she thought we weren't around. She was a really strong woman even though she thought she was weak. She was amazing and I hope I am strong like her some day! I know she sent me strength to get through her memorial service, I would have never made it otherwise."

Mom loved to read Uncle Remus and Brer Rabbit to us and make up all of the funny voices as she went! Good memories of our bedtime stories!!!

She always loved music, but her favorite song was "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.

Linda McNutt Wyatt said:
"My memories of Sandra are many. She was my idol and my hero. Being just a little older than me, I really looked up to her. She had the beautiful bedroom and a "piano" in her room. Imagine that. She and her Mom were always so kind to share her clothes with me. When I wore her clothes, I felt very special. After we go much older, and when it was cool, we would go off by ourselves and smoke. We always had something to talk about. Sandra, you died way too young. Those damned old cigarettes !!"

To all of Sandra's loving family:
I was sooooo sorry to hear of Sandra's passing. She was a great friend during our growing-up years, and I will never forget the good times we had together. Even though we lived far apart several decades, we still felt close, and I will miss knowing I can pick up the phone, call her and say "Hello Sandra Kay" to which she would reply "Why, Hi, Peggy Maree". I will never forget her.
I pray Jesus' presence is a reality to you all which will bring comfort in the days ahead and always.

We had some fun at Texas ,because I would see her often. We remained friends until after our marriage ,but over the years have lost contact.I remember her as young, fun,a great dancer,a lively cheerleader, and a beautiful presence. My condolences to the family...I assume her bratty brothers grew up into great human beings......and hope they inherited the McNutt genes...My thoughts are with you.

I grew up idolizing Sandra (my cousin); she's one of the main reasons I went to UT. Sandra was always friendly to everyone and always made me smile (although when I was little, she convinced me that thunder was going to eat me—that makes me smile now). She loved her daughters and grandson very much; anytime we visited, she loved talking about each of them. I know she's looking down on us and waiting for the day her granddaughter joins us.

My first date was in junior high with Sandra. She was a good friend and will be missed. May the blessings of Jesus Christ be with Sandra always. S.A.

I was so deeply saddened to hear of the death of Sandra McNutt. We went through school together, lived a couple of blocks apart, and even dated a bit.

So sorry to hear about Sandra's passing. I know you will all miss her. Gaye is correct...she was always smiling and seemed genuinely happy. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. She was a wonderful teacher and she always had a smile to share with her students at Meadows Elementary.
