BELTON --- Juanita "Nita" Grimm Hess Jones, 99, of Little River-Academy died Thursday, Jan. 25, in a Temple nursing center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in North Belton Cemetery with Glenn Hodge officiating.

She was born in Bell County to Gred Grimm and Emily Haas. She married Fred Hess on Dec. 4, 1926, and later married R. D. Jones in 1982 in Belton. She was a homemaker and a member of Miller Heights Baptist Church Belton.

She was prededed in death by both of her husbands.

Survivors are a son, Claude H. of Little River-Academy; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton.

Survivors are a son, Claude Hess of Little River-Academy; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.

Nita was born May 23, 1907, Washington County, Texas, USA and went to be with her Lord on Jan. 25, 2007, Bell County, Texas, USA. Her parents were Fred and "Emily" Amelia Haas Grimm, at that time they lived in Washington County and attended the Lutheran Church in that area. When she was baptized the name given to her was Annita Emilie Grimm. When she started using Nita and Juanita is not really known.

Nita married Fred Hess December 4, 1926 and they raised one son, Claude, he was adopted by Fred and Nita. His mother was Limmie Walker Hess and father Clyde Hess Sr. Clyde had passed away and Limmie was left to raise three little children. Nita was Limmies' sister and Claude was sick Limmie knew that was best for her little Claude and she was always part of his life and loved him very much.

Fred passed away February 1967 and later Nita married R.D. Jones in 1982, he passed away September 9, 1988. She had six brothers; Robert Ferdinand 1887, Ferdinand Heinrich Richard 1897, Richard Hugo 1901, Anton Carl 1903, Louis William 1909 and Lee William 1911 and six sisters; Clara Tina 1890, Elizabeth Adeline 1893, Lydia Augusta 1895, Esther Maria Anna 1899, (Lemmie) Emilie Charlotte Elise 1905 and Lillian Ann.

The 1910 Census has the Grimm's now living in Bell County, Texas. That is the area Annita lived the rest of her life. She is buried in North Belton Cemetery, Bell County, Texas, beside her first husband Fred Hess. R.D. Jones, her second husband is buried with his first wife in North Belton Cemetery.
