She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. While taking care of her children, she also enjoyed working in retail sales. In South Bend she sold Avon and in Indianapolis she worked for L.S. Ayres at Glendale Mall in their Ivy Room. She also worked at Mary V's at 86th and Ditch. Meme was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. She loved to cook for her family and friends and especially enjoyed making peanut brittle for the staff at Second Presbyterian Church. Throughout the years, countless others have enjoyed Meme's German home cooking.
Her loving husband, Dale W. Ellsworth; Son-in-law, Domenic Vinciguerra, M.D.; six brothers, Fred, Vic, Larry, Art, Melvin, and Everett Benzel; sister Esther McRae; Brother-in-law, David McRae, and two sisters-in-law, Odell and Joy Benzel all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two children, Connie Vinciguerra of Carmel and Richard D. Ellsworth, DDS and his wife Shirley of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Tracy (Ken Deaton) Vinciguerra, Jodi (John) Walker, Kim (Dan) Vinciguerra-Brock, Major (USAF) Chad (Nicolle) Ellsworth and Marc Gentry; five great grandchildren, Evan, Madison, Grace, Sadie and Ellie; two sisters, Dorothy (Bill) Eckhardt and Shirley (Roy) Klein and four sisters-in-law, Evelyn, Toni, Allie and Betty Jo Benzel.
