Benjamin was the second child in a family of 8 children. His brothers and sisters were:
Nicholas McIntire (1802-1859),
Van S. McIntire (1807-1842),
Malvina D. McIntire-Congleton (1808-1878),
Amanda McIntire-Metcalfe (1811-1893),
James McIntire (1813-1866),
Mary McIntire-Tabor (1818-1858), and
George W. McIntire (1821-1865).
From all records gathered, Benjamin never married. He died on May 18, 1845, and is buried in the Jones Cemetery with other family members.
The inscription on the headstone has errors - one, his name is spelled "Benjamine". Two, if the letters are not worn, and the date of birth was inscribed as 17 Apr 1801, I believe that is also an error. The parents were married November 1800, the oldest son Nicholas, born May 1802, and was named after his grandfather. Benjamin was the second-born son.
