George William Gonyon
June 12, 1949 – April 23, 2009

George William Gonyon was born June 12, 1949 in Dearborn, Michigan. George was the son of the late Willis Gonyon and the late Helen (Miller) Gonyon.

George was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. George also enjoyed a good barbeque. Actually it could be said that George was a die hard barbequer. He would barbeque in the dark or in the snow; whenever he was in the mood. He enjoyed the company of others. George had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed making others laugh; he usually ended up being the life of the party.

George had a green thumb. He enjoyed working in his mother's garden, and especially cultivating beautiful flowers. His beloved daughter Jennifer recalls Easter Lillies that he planted that continue to bloom year after year, a testament to his uncanny ability.

George performed factory work for most of his life. He was employed in the automotive industry by General Motors Company and also for Chrysler. George also spent time with Diamond Electric prior to their closing. He had also worked as a truck driver.
