Obit: Tyler Anthony McDonald was born December 2, 1993, the son of Bruce Gerdes and Sherri McDonald. He died at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, on Saturday, July 30, 1994, at the age of 7 months and 28 days. Tyler enjoyed bouncing up and down on his family's lap and he specially loved to crawl and play with his puppy, Coby. He spent many happy times this summer playing in his wading pool and going to carnivals and fairs with his family. Tyler was a very happy and loved baby, whose constant smile brought happiness to everyone around him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bert Gerdes. Survivors include his mother and father, his maternal grandparents, Larry and Jewell McDonald of Denison; his paternal grandparents, Henry and Mavis Kluver of Wall Lake, his paternal great-grandmother, Margaret Wageman and her husband Elmer of Defiance, also aunts and uncles, Serina and David Bryhan; Holly McDonald, all of Jacksonville, Florida, Heath McDonald of Denison, Bernice and Bob Coil of Wall Lake; Sue and Bill Paysen of Wayne, Nebraska; Marilyn Aschinger all of Wall Lake; and Jane and Lynn Throndson of Maple Grove, Minnesota. Funeral services were held in Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Carnarvon, Iowa, with Pastor Donald W. Gibson and Fr. Andrew Hoffmann officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Dunlap, Iowa, under direction of Huebner and Sons Funeral Service.
