Dale was raised in a Christian home and in recent months, had rededicated his life and made a true commitment to the Lord.

He attended and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1956. He made many friends and remained in the Lebanon area and in contact with several of them.

After graduation, Dale enlisted in the United States Army in 1958. He was loyal to his country and proud of his service time. He remained dedicated to supporting his fellow service men. He was honorably discharged on January 31, 1963, from United States Army Reserves.

On May 28, 1959, he was united in marriage with Barbara Whiteley and to this union was born three children.

Dale was a shoe salesman at Heers Department Store, when he met Barbara. He traveled to various communities while in the shoe business and eventually settled in Lebanon, where he owned and operated "The Shoe Barn." Dale still did some traveling as a shoe salesman, selling to other shoe outlets.

Dale had a great interest in tractors and tractor pulling. He was also very passionate about raising and caring for his horses. However, nothing compared to the time spent and memories made with his loving family.

Dale leaves to mourn his passing, one son, Tony Eilenstine and his wife Lisa of Lebanon; one daughter Sheri Gonzales and her husband Steve of Bloomfield, New Mexico; two sisters, Joyce Riley and her husband Newton of Columbia, MO and Janice Fowler of Stone Mountain, GA; four grandchildren, Misty Wilson and her husband Keith, Amy Peete and her husband Chris, Michael Forner and his wife Natalie, and Zachary Forner; Dale's former wife and friend, Barbara Eilenstine, also of Lebanon, MO; several nieces and nephews' other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Angela Eilenstine, one brother Edwin Eilenstine and Edwin's wife Jeanne Eilenstine.

Dale was a loving father, cherished brother, fun-loving grandfather, treasured uncle and loyal friend. He had an unmatched zest for life and an unwavering compassion for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
