He was a graduate of Wagoner High School and a member of the all-state football team in 1923. He was a Gold Card member of the Rodeo Cowboy Association and followed the professional rodeo circuit for many years.
He was survived by his wife, Minnie, of Okay; a brother, Paul, of Okay; and a sister, Ruby Renfro, of Tulsa, and five grandchildren.
