Obit.—Thomas Fay Bass, 67, of 3401 Beechnut Drive, died May 19, 1993, at Greers Ferry.
Born August 1, 1925, at McRae (White County), he was a son of the William Walter and Ruth Jones Bass.
He was reared and educated in McRae. He moved to Pine Bluff in 1954.
A member of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, he retired from International Paper Company after 22 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Dean Culbreath Bass of Pine Bluff, whom he married on January 26, 1945 in Lonoke County; three sons, Thomas Bass and David Bass, both of Pine Bluff, and Robert Bass of Ada, Oklahoma; four daughters, Ruth Ann McClaine, Carolyn Upshaw and Tresa Bass, all of Pine Bluff, and Becky Bass of Little Rock; a brother, Charles Bass of Franklin, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Jim Schmidt and the Rev. Ronnie Bond officiating. Burial will be in Fitzhugh Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Wingard, Gene Howard, Larry Howard, Erby Spharler, Robert Cathcart, Danny Crosset, Phil Young and Bill Quinn.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
