Robert E. Bish, 69, Blue Bell, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. He was born March 9, 1940, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Palmer E. Bish and Verna L. Dinger.
Oct. 28, 1961, Mr. Bish married Wandamarie (Davis) Bish, who survives.
He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves, serving with the 403rd in Punxsutawney.
He was a 1958 graduate of Punxsutawney High School and was a graduate of DuBois Business College and attained a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He also attended Penn State University in DuBois.
Mr. Bish was employed at Robertshaw and the McCreary Tire & Rubber Company in Indiana where he was a manager of data processing. He also worked as a marketing analyst at Unisys and Ameri-health Administrators near Philadelphia.
He was a volunteer with AARP, where he helped prepare income taxes for senior citizens.
In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include a brother, Kenneth Bish and wife Diane of Beaver Creek, Ohio; two sisters, Betty Heitzenrater and husband Chuck of Erie and Jean Deeley and husband Bill of Punxsutawney.
