DROWNED AT COSHOCTON

John Hahn, 28 of near Bacon Run, was drowned at 4:30 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, by being swept from the paved highway that leads from Coshocton to Roscoe. With his sister Emma, 17, he was driving in a single rig to Cliff Miller's up the Walhounding valley where his brother Will, was married Wednesday night to Miss Daisy DeMoss. The water was about a foot deep over the paved way in the forks, and running a heavy current. Many were driving through, Hahn's horse shied when half way over and plunged over the embankment to the south. The sister was rescued but Hahn's body was not recovered for two hours and then close to where he went down. The horse was drowned at once and with the buggy was fished out soon. It is one of the saddest events that Coshocton ever witnessed. Hahn, who is the son of William Hahn, worked at outside work at the Morgan Run Coal Mine. He was an Odd Fellow of Plainfield Lodge. The Coshocton Lodge took charge of the body at once. ---Coshocton Age.
The unfortunate young man was a nephew of Mrs Anna Moser, of this village. His funeral took place Friday afternoon at the St Paul Lutheran Church in Coshocton County.

*Ed note: John and Emma, were on their way to Will and Daisy's wedding. The wedding took place in spite of this tragedy.
