She was born July 18, 1933 to Andrew Jackson and Ida Mahalie (Keeling) Parks in Marshall, Arkansas.
She loved her family, cooking and she was a very good seamstress. The most important thing to her was her family. She was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall, Arkansas.
She married Robert Horton in 1955 and to that union three children were born.
She is survived by one son Bobby Craig Horton of Sherwood, Arkansas, two daughters: Debbie and husband John Nation of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Nancy and husband Mike Williams of Hartman, Arkansas, two granddaughters: Chrissy Traylor and Cynthia Traylor, two great-grandchildren: Jamison Morgan and Madison Morgan, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Reynold Horton, Jimmie Don Parks, John Nation, Mike Williams, Tim Horton, and James Bert McEntire.
Burial will be in the Canaan Cemetery.
