Robert Scott Highfill, 65, Eckerty, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
Born April 23, 1944, in Eckerty, he was the son of the late Joseph O. and Nancy Ann Atkins Highfill.
He was an Army veteran, a welder for the former Carpenter's Bus Works and Dubois Machine and a member of Bethlehem Masonic Lodge 574 in Birdseye.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Highfill; four brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include his wife, the former Patricia Archibald; a son, Robert D. Highfill of English; a sister, Linda Brown of English; and two granddaughters.
Visitation: Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 4, after 9 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Milltown.
Funeral: Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by interment in El Bethel Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Philo Jones.
