Maude N. Lewis 87 of Salinas passed away peacefully Sunday October 4, 2009. She was born in Rutledge, TN April, 2, 1922.
Maude was a resident of Salinas for over 65 years and was a bookkeeper for Grothe Pontiac before her retirement and a homemaker for the past 30 years. She was a long time member of the Crossroads Christian Church. Maude had many friends and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Joel Whitlock and most recently her husband Walter Lewis. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Karen Whitlock.
Survivors: Daughter, Marsha Whitlock of Salinas, her sister Louise Estep of Tennessee, her sister in law, Frances Lewis and her family and her long time friend Malley Amell.
Visitation Wed, October 7, 2009 from 1-5pm at the Struve and Laporte Mortuary, 41 West San Luis Street Salinas. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 1pm at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St, Salinas.
