Last Rites Held Here For Mrs. Reece Bowen
Last rites for Mrs. Reece Bowen were held Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John R. Ferguson officiating, assisted by Rev. D. E. Acker of Boyd.
Mrs. Bowen was born March 14, 1874 in Springtown and passed away September 7, 1948 in Bridgeport at the age of 74 years.
She had lived in Bridgeport for the past 30 years. Mr. Bowen preceded her in death on August 8, 1938. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Russell Hudson of Bridgeport, and one niece, whom she raised from childhood, Mrs. Pearl Clark of Boyd. She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Interment was in East Side Cemetery with Hawkins Funeral Home in charge.
