Heart attack was at 8:00 PM night of July 24, 1956 in his doctor's office following injury to hand by power lawn mower, earlier in the evening.
Wife was sitting with him in examination room while waiting for X-Rays to try to determine any bone damage.
He died instantly, following instant heart attack.
