Rita Kay Garner Medlock, 53, of Lubbock, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at U.M.C.
She was the daughter of the late Melvin Garner and Oze Garner, born in Lubbock, Texas on Nov. 9, 1955. Rita was employed with Citibus of Lubbock since 1997. She was a faithful member of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church for several years.
Left to cherish the precious memories of her life are, her sisters, Warlean Reed (Robert Reed, Sr.) and Marilyn Garner; daughters, Angela Y. Clark, Anjana D. Bibbs and Paula K. Bibbs; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at Rising Star Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Griffin Mortuary.
