Margaret Isasbella (McCaughan) Brown is the daughter of John R. McCaughan and Margaret Anne Grey. She married Joseph Allison Brown, the son of William Brown and Mary Ann Williams. They were married September 8, 1845 in Bath, Ontario, Canada. Joseph and Margaret Brown had twelve children; nine of them lived to be adults. There children are: William Joseph Brown, Charlotte Hannah Brown, John Thomas Brown, Isabella Josephine Brown, Lenora Adelaide Brown, Martha Caroline Brown, Mary Isabella Brown, Charles Brown, Adelia Elizabeth Brown, Annie Ruth Brown, Rosa Jane Brown and Katie May Brown.
