Preston Scott Stoutes, 25, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009.
Preston had a love for riding dirt bikes, four wheelers, actually anything that had a motor mounted on it. He was an installer at LRC. He will be missed by all. Family and friends will still represent. Poker run and benefit for Preston will be announced at a later date.
Survivors include his parents, Tim and Karen Stoutes of Lake Charles; brother, Timothy J. Stoutes Jr. of Iowa; fiancé of 3 years, Uyen Nguyen of Lake Charles; children, Alyssa Stoutes of Houston, Tyler Stoutes of Lake Charles, Zane Douglas of Lake Charles; maternal grandmother, Peggy Brown of Arkansas; niece, Elizabeth Stoutes of Lake Charles; as well as six uncles and seven aunts. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, D.W. Brown and paternal grandparents, Nelson and Hilda Stoutes.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Deacon Jack Reynolds will officiate. Burial will be in New Ritchie Cemetery. Pallbearers assisting in his service will be Don Garcia, Wade Brown, Murry Day, John Gary, Tim Stoutes, Randy Reon, Daniel Smith and Johnathan Broussard. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and on Thursday from 8 a.m. til time of service.
