Ace Baker, 94, of Sodaville, died Oct. 7, 2009, at Timberview Care Center in Albany.
In keeping with his wishes no service will be held.
He was born Nov. 11, 1914, in Eugene, the son of Fred and Mabel Howard Baker.
He lived there until his marriage to Geraldine McTimmonds on July 27, 1940. They settled in Sodaville.
Mr. Baker served in the Army during World War II. Following his discharge, he returned to Sodaville.
He worked for Champion Plywood for 40 years before retiring.
He is survived by daughters Susan Cole of Lebanon and Sally Baker of Salem, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
His wife died in 1987.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Association and sent in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant St., Lebanon OR 97355.
