JAMES M. TIMCHEK, of Lodi, died on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Hackensack University Medical Center, at the age of 59 years. Born in New York, he lived in Bogota for 35 years before coming to Lodi last year. He was an instrument technician for more than 36 years, working for Schering-Plough of Summit for nine years. He was a Navy Veteran of the Viet Nam War. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, and jazz music. Beloved husband of Joan E. (nee Lewis). Devoted father of Theresa Ann Timchek and her fiance Wayne Sempiti of Totowa, Christine Michelle Timchek and her partner Donna Davis of Bloomfield, and Laura Jean Schwartz and her husband John of North Arlington. Loving grandfather of Justin and Samantha. Dearest brother of Patricia Timchek of Ridgefield Park. Visiting will be on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 120 Wall Street, 19th Floor, New York, NY 10005 would be appreciated.
