Aaron Ernest "A.E." Willis, 88, of 4910 Locust Hill Rd., passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Thomas Irvin and Mamie Plumblee Willis. Mr. Willis was an U.S. Army Veteran of World War II having served in New Guinea and the Amirty Islands; was retired from Union Bleachery, Division of Cone Mills Corp., member of Locust Hill Baptist Church and the Men's Bible Class.

Surviving is his son, Robert A. Willis of the home; and a sister, Vara Fowler of Greer.

He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret Neese Willis in 1982 along with three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Locust Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 2 to 3 p.m. at Locust Hill Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Locust Hill Baptist Church, 5534 Locust Hill Rd., Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
