She was married to Dominic D'Amico, who died Feb. 1, 1991.
A homemaker, she was of the Roman Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include seven children and their spouses: Dominic L. and Elena D'Amico of Marion, Ky., James Michael and Rickie D'Amico of St. Cloud, Fla., Avis M. and Albert "Smitty" Smith of Wampum, Linda L. D'Amico of Wampum, Mary E. and Mark Cunningham of Ellport, Christine E. and Robert Hodes of Gilbertsville, Pa., and Lisa J. Cook of Wampum; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sally Scopack of Hermitage and Susie Weir of South Carolina; and two brothers, Jack Weir of Salem, Ohio, and Gary Weir of Hermitage. In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Mae "Peggy" Woods and Leona "Idella" Weir, and two brothers, Walter L. and Dale Weir.
Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum. A Blessing Service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009, at the funeral home with the Rev.
